Causes of Lumbar Spondylitis

Abhyanga (Warm Medicated Oil Massage)
Full body massage using oils like Mahanarayan Taila, Dhanwantharam Taila, or Bala Taila.
Reduces pain, increases circulation, nourishes nerves and muscles.
Svedana (Sudation/Fomentation)
Application of herbal steam after Abhyanga.
Patra Pinda Svedana (leaf poultice massage) is especially useful for muscle stiffness and pain relief.
Helps remove toxins through sweat and improves mobility.
Kati Basti (Oil Pooling on the Lower Back)
A specially prepared dough ring is placed over the lumbar spine and filled with warm medicated oil.
Oil is retained for 20–40 minutes.

Basti (Medicated Enema) – Most Crucial
Considered the most effective treatment for Vata-related disorders like spondylitis.
Two types are used in sequence:

Niruha Basti (decoction-based enema): Removes toxins and balances Vata.
